Faith Over Fear: The Season You Can’t See Is Preparing You for the One You Will

Fear is real. BUT so is Faith over Fear.

I know a lot of people say fear is False Evidence Appearing Real, and while I believe that, I also believe fear is a real human emotion that every single one of us encounters at some point in life.

Whether you’re starting a business, chasing a dream, releasing your first project, changing careers, or simply stepping into unfamiliar territory, fear has a way of showing up right before your breakthrough.

The question isn’t whether fear will come.

The real question is:

Will you choose faith anyway?

My Journey with Fear

I’ve always considered myself a person of faith, but if I’m being transparent, I’ve also wrestled with fear.

Fear of failure.

Fear of the unknown.

Fear of not being good enough.

Fear of stepping into spaces where I felt unqualified.

For years, I believed those feelings meant I wasn’t ready. Now I realize they were simply invitations to trust God more deeply.

One quote from Kobe Bryant has always stayed with me. He talked about fear as something that reveals what you’re truly made of. Fear isn’t meant to stop you—it gives you the opportunity to decide whether you’ll be ruled by it or rise above it.

That perspective changed everything for me.

Leaving My Comfort Zone

If you’ve watched my videos before, you know I’m naturally an introvert.

I’m comfortable creating in solitude. I enjoy my quiet time, and my home has always been my safe place.

But recently, something unexpected has started happening.

People have begun recognizing my work—not just as an artist, but as someone with something meaningful to say. I’ve been invited to speak on panels, share my experiences, and encourage others.

When those invitations came, my first reaction wasn’t confidence.

It was fear.

“What if I say the wrong thing?”

“What if I disappoint people?”

“What if I’m not ready?”

But then I had to stop and ask myself another question:

What if I am?

The Sacred Place

Looking back, I realize God has been preparing me long before anyone else saw it.

There’s a scripture that says:

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

For years, I’ve been in what I call the sacred place.

A season that felt hidden.

A season where very few people noticed the work.

A season filled with prayer, fasting, studying, healing, creating, and simply spending time with God.

At times it felt lonely.

At times it felt like nothing was happening.

But now I understand something I couldn’t see then.

God wasn’t hiding me.

He was preparing me.

The Bamboo Lesson

One of the most powerful analogies I’ve heard recently is about bamboo.

For five years, bamboo is nurtured underground. During that entire time, nothing appears to be happening above the surface.

A farmer waters it.

Protects it.

Believes in it.

Waits.

Then, after years of invisible growth, bamboo suddenly shoots upward—sometimes reaching incredible heights in an incredibly short amount of time.

Most people only notice the rapid growth.

Very few appreciate the years spent building the root system.

That lesson hit me deeply.

From 2019 until now, I’ve been building roots.

I’ve been refining my craft.

Growing spiritually.

Healing emotionally.

Learning.

Failing.

Trying again.

Communing with God.

Looking back now, I can finally see what He was doing all along.

Sometimes the Waiting Is the Preparation

We often pray for opportunities.

But we forget to pray for the character needed to sustain them.

God doesn’t just prepare blessings.

He prepares people.

Sometimes the waiting season isn’t punishment.

It’s training.

It’s refinement.

It’s protection.

If He released everything we’ve prayed for before we were emotionally or spiritually mature enough to carry it, we’d probably lose it.

Now I understand why some doors stayed closed.

I wasn’t being rejected.

I was being prepared.

Choosing Faith Over Fear

Fear still shows up.

I’m human.

But now I recognize it much faster.

Instead of believing every fearful thought, I pause.

I pray.

I remember everything God has already brought me through.

And I remind myself that fear doesn’t get the final say.

Faith does.

Faith says, “Take the step.”

Faith says, “Trust the process.”

Faith says, “God didn’t bring you this far to leave you here.”

If You’re in the Valley Right Now…

Maybe you feel forgotten.

Maybe you’re wondering why everyone else seems to be moving ahead while you’re still waiting.

Maybe you’ve been faithful, but nothing seems to be changing.

I want to encourage you today.

Don’t despise your hidden season.

Don’t rush the process.

Don’t mistake stillness for stagnation.

God is refining you.

He’s strengthening your roots.

He’s building your faith so that when your season comes, you’ll have everything you need to sustain it.

The valley isn’t the end of your story.

It’s preparation for your next chapter.

Final Thoughts

Looking back, I wouldn’t trade the hidden years.

Every prayer.

Every setback.

Every lesson.

Every quiet moment with God.

They’ve all built the foundation for what’s ahead.

So if fear has been knocking at your door lately, don’t let it convince you to stay where it’s comfortable.

Take the step anyway.

Trust God anyway.

Believe anyway.

Because sometimes the greatest evidence that you’re close to your breakthrough is the very fear trying to convince you to turn around.

Choose faith.

Every single time.

What season are you in right now?

Are you planting, waiting, growing, or finally beginning to bloom?

I’d love to hear your story in the comments. And if this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that even in the hidden seasons, God is still working.
